It flashes and dances-
Swirls and twirls;
Bringing rain and thunder
Along for the ride.
Flashing lightning-
Rolling thunder-
Pounding rain-
Gusting winds.
They can all call up
What this little prairie fears most.
A tornado-
The worst of its kind-
Can come along
With this out-of-control storm,
Which torments the black, midnight sky.
It would easily be able
To destroy house, crops, animals, land-
Essential things in these western plains.
Tearing off roofs,
Collapsing remains unto people-
Crushing them beneath rubble;
All can be caused by the dreaded tornado.
The rain can cause floods
That wipe away people and animals alike.
The lightning can cause fires
That burn out of control all night.
The winds can cause a tornado-
Destroying everything in its path.
While the thunder strikes fear
In the hearts of every living being.
We all hope and pray,
That we'll live to see another day;
On this beautiful, untameable prairie.

"Now come one come all to this tragic affair
Wipe of that makeup-what's in is despair
So throw on the black dress
Mix in with the lot
You might never wake up and notice you're someone your not"
